Endowments

Donations for operations continue to be extremely important, and contributions to the Octagon Endowment ensure the future of the organization. The Octagon Endowment Fund is comprised of the Endow Iowa Fund, a general Operational Fund, and Special Program Funds established by community members just like you.

Contribute to an Established Fund

Start a Designated Fund

Establishing a Designated Fund allows you to support the good work of a specific nonprofit organization. Through designations established when you set up your fund, your gift provides the Octagon Center for the Arts not only funding, but also planned giving, investment management services and the power of endowment.

Seed a Fund

Seed Funds offer individuals an option to build a permanent charitable endowment over 10 years. Rather than requiring $10,000 immediately to begin an endowment, donors make an initial contribution of $1,000 and pledge a minimum annual contribution of $600 to build their Seed Fund. Once $10,000 is accumulated via gifts and income, the Seed Fund matures to a charitable endowment from which the donor can recommend annual distributions to support the causes or charities they care about.
