Using drawing techniques, value, design elements, and observational skills, participants will learn to create three finished drawings with charcoal and pencil. Students will also learn how to use value in volume, pattern and perspective with burnishing and blending techniques. At the end of the class, students will be able to recognize different themes in their drawings such as symbolism, metaphors and contemporary relationships as they relate personally their work, and themselves.
