Join the Mirage Middle Eastern Dance Troupe for an informal bellydance showcase and group dance hafla (Arabic for party ). Encourage and support local dancers of all levels and abilities, enjoy diverse performances and music, and even learn some basic moves for improvisational dancing together. Perfect for all ages! Light refreshments and family-friendly entertainment provided. In honor of May the 4th (be with you), Star Wars costuming is absolutely welcome! Online registration will close 48 business hours prior to event, but tickets will still be available at the door.
NOTE for PERFORMERS: Register as an attendee through the Octagon website. Select the checkbox as a performer, then email Sara at smerritt@iastate.edu to be added to the performance schedule. Also, feel free to participate in our costume exchange – bring any lightly used or new-ish costume elements to donate, and/or help yourself to others’ donated items.
To register:
- scroll down to the “tickets” section (near the bottom of this page)
- enter the number of “tickets” you want below (one ticket per student)
- click “add to cart”
- click “proceed to checkout”
- complete the contact information form that appears (this is where you can check a box if you want to be a performer)
- complete the payment information
- check your email for your receipt
