New Ceramics Studio Coming January 2020

Can you help?

Ceramics classes have been an integral brick in the foundation in the Octagon since the beginning. In 1978, volunteers labored to remove over two feet of concrete and soil from the Octagon basement, and the Ceramics Studio was born! Forty-one years, hundreds of students, and a whole lot of learning later, our well-loved studio is showing her age. Time and water have made their way into the 104 year-old historic building – and that calls for
some very serious repairs.

We are going to unearth the Ceramics Studio (again) and we need your help!
The Ceramics Studio is moving to the second floor of the Octagon to join the other classrooms.
We need to prepare the space by:
 Changing the existing plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems
 Adding walls to create storage spaces
 Purchasing needed studio equipment

We are so excited to offer our students, young and old, a more functional and accessible space in January 2020 – and we can’t do it without you!
