  • Dawn Bratsch-Prince (Spanish convivencia as cultural transmission)
    Medieval Spain, Christian, Muslim, and Jewish cultural traditions coexisted and mingled in fruitful ways known as convivencia. We will look at how Spanish convivencia ensured the transmission of classical knowledge through the work of the school of translators of Toledo.
  • Daniel Klass (Eternal Patterns)
    He will discuss how numerical patterns and templates manifest in Arabic grammar, as well as in the Islamic artistic imagination.
